The series follows an ensemble of characters and creatures alike as a string of tragic murders inflame the long-brewing tensions of their segregated society and exposes a conspiracy that will threaten the future of their world.
Cara Delevigne plays the role of Vignette Stonemoss – a persecuted refugee and Orlando Bloom plays police inspector Rycroft Philostrate.
Director: Paul McGuigan, Jon Amiel and others.
Producers Rene Echevarria, Travis Beacham, Paul McGuigan
The story takes place in a city named the Burgue, which exists in the future, but is a bit like 18th century London. Humans live side-by-side with other creatures, and a killer stalks the streets of a neighborhood called Carnival Row inhabited by faeries working in brothels. The murderer is killing faeries, cutting off their wings and leaving telltale puncture wounds in their necks.
